Pentacle of Life meditation

This exercise is often done during the Earth section of the 'Elements of Magick' Core Class. The purpose is to acquaint yourself with the different stages/phases we go through in this life and see how that connects to all aspects within and without (in nature, relationships, etc)

Four 'Thieves' Vinegar (recipes, lore, uses)

I realize there is some debate in the community about the Burning times. So I will give my educated summary first, which leads to the point of sharing the Four Thieves potion.

'The Burning times refer to the Witch Hunts in Europe that began with the publishing of the Malleus Maleficarum (witches hammer) in 1486 which gave instructions on ‘how to find us, try us, torture us and dispose of us properly’. It lasted 300yrs. (Trying people for Witchcraft in this manner also took place in the US with the Salem witch trials in 1692. And continues to this day in newly Christianized areas like Africa and New Guinea)
Although others were falsely accused during the witch hunts, the intent and ultimate result was still the persecution and genocide of those who practiced traditional Earth based spiritual beliefs of original European tribes/clans (often the poor/presents, women, and healers) and anything associated with them. For example: Any cat that was found was tried as a witch's familiar and killed. The lack of cats to kill rodents made their population flourish, fleas jumped from one to the next feeding on infected rodents and the plague spread like wildfire = Oh but “it MUST have been a curse" so more Witches were found and tortured/killed…

Four ‘thieves’ vinegar is a famous traditional potion.. the lore is pretty consistent about how it came to be known for fighting the plague. However, I have a feeling that was not actually how it happened. I believe the four witches that gave the gift of this protection were called thieves so that the church authorities could save face. Luckily the magick of their protective potion saved people and thus their lives.. Either way, at least ONE of our ancient remedies made it through time intact.Since then many variations have evolved. These are some of them and their uses:

Ancient Spell, and Harry Potter curse confirmed

Yep, it's true! The language was spoken in ancient Babylon a city in Mesopotamia which was a pagan city.
”Avada kedavra in English - Origin: Avada Kedavra - Aramaic for “let the thing be destroyed”, it’s said to be the original saying of Abra Kadabra.” http://translation.babylon.com/english/Avada%20kedavra/

(second fun fact: the tower of babble was actually knocked over by Alexander the Great's soldiers during one of his many conquests, so that he could build a monument of himself in its place. But it was not finished before his death. So, I suppose he might have said Avada Kedavra toward the Babalonian Tower - if he spoke Aramaic as well as his native Aeolic Greek lol)

Tasseomancy ~ The Art of Reading Tea Leaves

1. Choose a loose tea - you may want to choose herbs that lend to your intent/question or to enhance  psychic abilities. Alternately, if you dislike tea, coffee or wine also work (they are from a plant after all).

2. Use a wide mouth tea cup with a saucer. There are a few different cups with symbols from different traditions to aid your reading - like the zodiac themed cup (it may also have a printed saucer) to the right - but some can be quite expensive, so if you want to use one great, but don't worry, they are not required.

3. Sip, enjoy and allow your energy to infuse with the herbs. You can keep your question in mind, or just drink your tea and let the message you need to know come through.
4. When you are finished, here are two of many methods a) read the leaves as they naturally land when finished b) cover with the saucer and swirl the cup  3x while asking your question - an extended version of this includes flipping the cup upside down after swirling, then back over and wait a few moments for the leaves to settle back into the cup.

5. When reading, first observe the cup and allow your gut response to the pattern. e.g. Evenly spread out = balance in the persons life.. and so on. Closer to the rim indicates things happening in the home/close to the person, then immediate family/close friends, and so on to the bottom.
Generally the reading begins at the handle which represents current events, moving clockwise (see diagram).  Some people can see further than others. So the sections can be hours for a 24hr reading, or a year, or a lifetime.

Look for letters and symbols (see chart). Notice those that jump out first. Allow your third eye and minds eye to work together, like seeing shapes in clouds. The chart above is merely a guideline to assist you..personal experiences and associations with a symbol should be trusted. :)

Bats Blood Ink Needs Re-Branding

Magickally Made will soon be offering handmade magickal inks to accompany our custom handmade Books of Shadows. As we do research about different types of inks and their ingredients we were shocked to see that the ingredients of Bats Blood ink - an ink associated with negative magick: chaos, hexes, and strangely banishing is included as bad *furrow, shakes head* - has just three main magickal ingredients and none of them have the energy that the ink is said to emit.

The magickal ingredients are: Dragons Blood (love, protection, exorcism, sexual potency), Cinnamon (psychic powers, money drawing, speedy healing, protection and to strengthen love), and Myrrh (healing, protection, exorcism, peace, consecration, meditation). It makes absolutely no sense how these ingredients can be associated with anything but their common energies = Love, Protection, Healing, and Exorcism (which also includes Clearing negative energy and earth bound spirits = Banishing is the only thing they seem to have right and its not negative to protect yourself from harmful energy!). With the added bonus of peace, consecration, meditation, money, sexual potency and psychic abilities if you want to tie those in, and who wouldn't?. All of that sounds pretty positive to this witch.

Perhaps it had the 'wreaking havoc' energy if/when it had actual blood in the mix. But when we learn about Bat medicine, they are actually pretty cool. And although I don't condone bleeding a bat, I can imagine their blood has the same aspects as the whole. For instance they represent death/rebirth, and thus would be associated with exorcising/banishing/clearing the earth bound spirit aspect of the current formula by helping them move on to their next incarnation. But only those who fear the natural process of life and its inevitable outcome would associate this aspect of bat medicine with negativity.

Whomever created this particular recipe was either confused, purposely trying to make something that wouldn't work for hexing, or it simply got lost in translation because of the 'spooky' name.

I admit that in my almost 19yrs of magickal study I have avoided Bats Blood Ink because of its accepted purpose. In my experience the general rule is that a 'good witch' shouldn't touch anything associated with negative magic, so I didn't look any further (*rolls eyes* oh the power we give to the 'dark side'). Now that I know whats in it, it's almost laughable and kind of embarrassing to have given it so much power.

I felt compelled to point this out because I have seen posts elsewhere asking 'if it could be used in a positive way' and the responses included the ingredients but reiterated the negative uses.. I don't understand why we haven't corrected the contradiction. Yes it should be used in a positive way! In fact, I feel that we should show some love to Bats Blood Ink because that's what its for! (that, and protection, and healing and removing negativity of course lol). I suggest we use it for its actual purpose not its reputation.

If you're concerned about the possible intent of the maker of Bats Blood ink on the market currently, keep an eye on our shop because we will have some for sale soon, and we will be allowing it to be itself. Get it from us, or of course, you can make your own. :)

(I  feel that the lesson here is to look beyond what is 'accepted' as truth regardless of social pressures or stigma, and look deeper into anyone/anything that, by sheer reputation, repels us.)

Bristol - thicker paper, great for 'witchy scrapbooking' and tea staining.
Available for books size 12x18 to 27x41!

Opaque Aged Vellum  - available for all sizes. This is the only thicker paper that is still suitable for 9x12 books because of its not stiff so it will still lay right when the book is open.  It is the best choice for Flame Deckling (seen in pic) and scrap-booking applications.

Ivy Moon

Happy Samhain Season Esbat! We almost forgot it was today/tonight, because we have been in sacred space working on a custom BOS all weekend, so we were not completely 'in' this world. lol
This is the Ivy moon which represents tenacity, resilience and beauty. Ivy is a symbol of health and optimism because even as days grow colder Ivy thrives (ours has taken over and turned a beautiful red). The Ivy moon teaches us that to survive life's tests we must try to see the best in things and keep our spirits high, we will thrive as we turn the wheel toward our new year.
Commune with Luna tonight and ask Mother Diana to grant your Full Moon wishes. Sing her a song or two and give thanks under the Ivy Moon.
This chant was taught to me (Aradia) in my early 20's by someone I thought I really didn't like, but through singing this song together we connected, it shocked everyone with us (lol when strong witches have contention it doesn't go unnoticed), and it was magick. I wish for all of us to have a profound positive shift of consciousness/change of heart in a needed aspect of  our lives this month.

Blessed Be!

This years Doomsday canceled

Fear not fellow Pagans/Wiccans/Heathens/Druids and Native Earth tradition-ers (lol) that don't identify with those terms but hold the same truth = we were right all along! The apocalypse is not coming to pass on Yule/Solstice this year. *sarcastic sigh of relief*
Just like we are 10,000-30,000 yrs ahead of the current judeo-christian timeline we're forced to use  (depending on your tradition and the archaeological evidence of Goddess statues from 30k BC unearthed in recent years)... Mayan culture is ancient and their calender was not based on someone else's profit born across the world millennia after their amazing civilization had started and was thriving - it was based on their own scholars, cycles and environment (is it too immature to say DUH right now? lol) - which is why the Catholic church was burning it as heathen propaganda and had the opportunity to 'save' a piece from the fire so they could claim to know what it meant and completely get it wrong (sound familiar? its amazing how wide spread their destruction was/is and how much they like to burn things[or people] for being so afraid of fire).
As the article touches on, all to often the people making documentaries and publishing books are not the true Shaman and definitely not experts. To set the record straight for all those who thought all Native American and Native South American tribes were extinct and thus could claim to be experts on things they have no spiritual/cultural connection to, or true understanding of = guess what, you're being called out!

Gomez’s group issued a statement saying that the new Maya time cycle simply means "there will be big changes on the personal, family and community level, so that there is harmony and balance between mankind and nature.”

Mayans demand an end to 2012 doomsday myth

By Agence France-Presse
Wednesday, October 24, 2012 20:39 EDT
GUATEMALA CITY — Guatemala’s Mayan people accused the government and tour groups on Wednesday of perpetuating the myth that their calendar foresees the imminent end of the world for monetary gain.
“We are speaking out against deceit, lies and twisting of the truth, and turning us into folklore-for-profit. They are not telling the truth about time cycles,” charged Felipe Gomez, leader of the Maya alliance Oxlaljuj Ajpop.
Several films and documentaries have promoted the idea that the ancient Mayan calendar predicts that doomsday is less than two months away, on December 21, 2012.
The Culture Ministry is hosting a massive event in Guatemala City — which as many as 90,000 people are expected to attend — just in case the world actually does end, while tour groups are promoting doomsday-themed getaways.
Maya leader Gomez urged the Tourism Institute to rethink the doomsday celebration, which he criticized as a “show” that was disrespectful to Mayan culture.
Experts say that for the Maya, all that ends in 2012 is one of their calendar cycles, not the world.
Gomez’s group issued a statement saying that the new Maya time cycle simply “means there will be big changes on the personal, family and community level, so that there is harmony and balance between mankind and nature.”
Oxlajuj Ajpop is holding events it considers sacred in five cities to mark the event and Gomez said the Culture Ministry would be wise to throw its support behind their real celebrations.
More than half of Guatemala’s population of nearly 15 million are from indigenous groups of Mayan descent.
The Mayan calendar has 18 months of 20 days each plus a sacred month, “Wayeb,” of five days. “B’aktun” is the larget unit in the time cycle system, and is about 400 years. The broader era spans 13 B’aktun, or about 5,200 years.
The Mayan culture enjoyed a golden age between 250 AD and 900 AD.

LOL I love it. Stand up Mayan People! We should all send them all the support we can, by telling people we know NOT to go there, do ritual to safely and gently but very effectively change their plans (no harm to anyone, but to help the Tribe's wishes to be respected) and instead of the doomsday celebration they were planning, send energy that we collectively open ourselves up to this amazingly beautiful shift of energy that is desperately needed.

Dissident Horoscopes for Samhain Insurgents

I (Aradia) and not from IL, and where we live we don't get the free hipster newspapers like the Reader in Chicago or the Stranger in Seattle (home and origin of the oh-so-famous anti bully campaign starter = Dan Savage). Among many things that I miss about the Stranger and papers like it, is the amazing and kooky horoscopes by the inspiring Rob Brezsny of Free Will Astrology. So, I get his e-newsletter and read his site and books (highly recommended - www.freewillastrology.com)
For now I will link to this weeks astrological omens for anyone out there that may see our blog http://home.ezezine.com/3_11/3_11-2012.10.20.15.11.archive.html.

But the reason I am mentioning it, is that he has posted an even more absurd version of the Samhain week horoscope written by his 'evil twin' which is what follows: (you can see the original here http://www.freewillastrology.com/beauty/beauty.main400.shtml)

**Note the dates as they are insane lol and you may have more than one**

KICK YOUR OWN ASS-TROLOGY!
Dissident Horoscopes for Samhain Insurgents
By Job Disney, Rob Brezsny's only partially evil twin

Rob's memoir about his encounters with the Dark Goddess.)

PERSONAL GROWTH ADDICTS (March 21-October 17): In a perfect world, Halloween would be celebrated 13 times a year, on each full moon. At least once a month each of us would have license to dress, talk, and act like some buried part of our personality. We could put on inside-out thrift shop clothes and spit whiskey on holy statues. We could make love with flowers and ride donkeys backwards into city hall and blubber confessions to people who weren't particularly interested. If we only had these luxuries, imagine how much more sincere and relaxed we'd be the other 352 days of the year. But alas, in the real world, all the beautiful nonsense we should be able to spread over many months has to be crammed into a few days. So get out there and start cramming.

ZEN MEGALOMANIACS (April 20-December 1): Dangling rubber skeletons, thick crusty spider webs, pretend witches' cauldrons filled with pretend lizard eyes and bat wings and snake bile: I can't believe that any of the usual Halloween props actually throw a scare into you. If you'd really like to scare yourself, I mean in a good way, here's a suggestion. Contemplate the fact that there will come a time many years from now when you will die. Imagine yourself as the person you will be on that day. Look back on your life and think about all the things you wish you would have done that you didn't do. Then come back in time to the person you are today and vow that you're going to get started on accomplishing those things sometime in the next three months.

UNORIGINAL SINNERS (May 21-January 31): In a remote mountain sanctuary north of Tokyo, a sacred festival of emotional release will soon unfold. As the celebrants parade through the dark to a shrine in the wilderness, they will shout out obscenities and noises and forbidden thoughts. "My boss is a stupid asshole!" "Goddamit, mommy! I'll never be what you want me to be!" I dare you to incorporate this fun ritual into your Halloween revels. Try the following obscenities, or better yet, design your own: "All you reptile-brained jerks who're trying to mangle my freedom can just fuck off!" "Stop telling me what to do, man! Your column sucks!"

CODEPENDENT BODHISATTVAS (July 23-March 1): In tune with the true Halloween spirit, I may dress up as the type of person I understand and sympathize with least: an obscenely rich, right-wing Christian fundamentalist Sarah Palin-supporter. I suggest you try something similar. If you're usually a Nazi skinhead stockbroker, be a hippie farmer wearing a "Free Hemp!" T-shirt. If you're normally a fat-phobic, hetero-bashing, fascist vegetarian, well then masquerade as a 300-pound, carnivorous Don Juan. And if you're a caffeinated, atheistic, workaholic, I highly recommend that you impersonate a God-drunk, love-inflamed lazybones -- not just at Halloween parties, but everywhere. (For extra credit, become your own devil's advocate.)

CHAOS LOVERS (August 23-March 28): Tired of dancing in the dark by yourself? Eager to find your lost appetite in time for Halloween? Then nail this personal ad on every telephone pole in town: "Are you a stable, down-to-earth romantic who enjoys holding hands while browsing through shopping malls? If so, please stay away from me. I'm on the lookout for a leather-clad cupid who loves to disturb the neighbors. Or a cherub-faced rebel who's into mental shortcuts. Or something like that. Let's put it this way: Are you capable of feeling sexy while wearing Bugs Bunny boxer shorts? If so, I want you to suck my beauty and truth while singing back-up harmonies to the music of the spheres. Or massage my wild compassion while interpreting the omens in my lucid dreams. Or something like that. P.S.: I smashed my TV because it was an unsatisfying companion. Can I come over and watch yours?"

PAVLOVIAN GODS (September 23-April 20): During the Halloween season, the veil between the world of the living and realm of the dead is thin. Is there a message you long to send over to the other side? An omen you're yearning to receive from the Great Beyond? One of your dead relatives will slip you a surprise if that's what you want. You could also catch a glimpse of yourself as you were in the distant past -- or will be in the far future. Take a long hot shower after midnight. Step out, light a candle, and gaze in the mirror until the secrets begin to flow back and forth.

LUNATIC SAINTS (October 23-May 31): For pagans and Wiccans, Halloween is one of the high holy days of the year. It's a time to meditate on our link with the Other Side, that realm we slip into when we dream or die or flirt with ecstasy or loosen the binds of our logical minds. Many people are so frightened of this realm that they avoid ever knowing it -- thus ensuring it will always haunt them like an ominous shadow. But because you're a Lunatic Saint, you've been endowed with a brave attraction to the Other Side. As a result, it's a source of power and renewal for you -- especially now, at the beginning of your astrological year.

DYSLEXIC SPHINXES (November 22-July 16): You could take the safe and easy route this Halloween and masquerade as a cartoony Hollywood demon. But if you want an authentic catharsis that gives you real power over what scares you most, you should act out your own personal demon. What good is it to be Frankenstein or a vampire or a character in one of Stephen King's counterfeit nightmares? You don'ttruly believe those silly monsters can hurt you. What about dressing up as a realmonster, like the person in your life who hurt you the most?

SACRED JANITORS (December 21-August 29): You don't have to be a witch to celebrate Halloween like the witches do. Try this. Create an altar. Collect pomegranates, chrysanthemums, pumpkins, candles, bells, favorite photos, lucky charms. Drink some mulled wine, then let the magic begin. Like for instance take a piece of paper and write down an aspect of your life you'd like to banish -- a sickness, bad habit, fear, or influence that's eating away at you. Burn this paper in the flame of a red candle. Next, take three seeds and plant them in three cups of dirt. These symbolize the three joys you promise to nurture in 2013. Then, before you go out to party all night, place an offering on your altar in honor of those you've loved who are gone from this world.

CAPITALIST UNICORNS (January 20-October 25): I celebrate Halloween 364 days of the year (excluding April Fool's Day). This allows me to express my swirling multitude of personalities without ever worrying about whether I'm descending into schizophrenia. If you'd like to sample my fun and healthy approach to continually mutating identity, I suggest you try a different masquerade every day between now and November 7. Today you could be your evil twin, tomorrow your ideal self. The day after tomorrow you could be your libido personified, or your own father, or the person you'd be if you were another race or nationality.

TROJAN HORSESHIT COLLECTORS (February 19-December 29): I regard Halloween as an excellent opportunity for pretending to act out your most shadowy and repressed qualities -- qualities that might be dangerous to your ambitions or reputation. Masquerading gives you a chance to blow off steam. It relieves the poisonous pressure that repression inevitably generates. That's why I suggest you impersonate a tyrant or dictator at this year's parties. If you can play out your control-freak fantasies in their most extreme form now, maybe they won't erupt at inconvenient times in the months ahead.

APHRODITE'S CHOSEN PEOPLE (February 29-January 31): Nothing gets in the way of true love more than stale myths about masculinity and femininity. And why put up with half-assed romance? Take advantage of the gender-bending season to expand your repertoire of amorous gambits. I dare you to dress up as the third sex for Halloween -- or even the fourth. I invite you to at least pretend to be omnisexual. Hug trees. Kiss frogs. Make love to the sky and sea. Sleep with a rosy pink double-terminated crystal. Be infatuated with the moist, flaming Mystery.

This is the cover of Rob's first book, I highly recommend it no matter what your path:

Bat Medicine

Sooo... I fixed the dog's dinner (2 bostons and a basset hound sized standard doxie = all rescues) and all was normal and fine. I must say before going on, that I had not opened the back door for many hours and was sitting in full view of the kitchen working on a custom BOS all day. That said, back to the story: lol
I sat down at the computer to check etsy while urging the picky one to eat his darn dinner.. then noticed he was staring into the kitchen with a mesmerized look (incredibly yes, he's extremely expressive with his droopy wrinkled face and his bulldog-esque under-bite  so I got up to look and screamed for Kiz because...there was a BAT flying back and forth in my kitchen! Luckily we have 14ft ceilings and an 'open concept' Victorian-sized kitchen so it wasn't hurting itself or dive bombing us *eek*. And normally I would be a tough femme witch, but alas, bats are not something I encounter often. lol Kiz came to see what was happening with broom in hand. I jumped as it flew by again, knocking over Mug-Z's food (that I had carefully picked up so Rocco the doxie didn't do his usual opportunistic snarfing when we don't police him). Meanwhile Kiz tries to open the back door and usher it out, and the darn thing disappeared as fast as it appeared! We cautiously and probably quite humorously checked every nook it could hide in, and nothing. I don't think this is the last we will see of our bat friend, but for now all the cupboards drawers and widows are closed in the butlers pantry and the curtain is closed so its contained if it does come back. I looked outside with a flashlight and we cannot figure out how it got in and out so easily/quickly unless they can smash themselves into teeny cracks and burrow through walls or between window pains. Oy. Quite an exciting Friday night here at Magickally Made LOL
Since there is a reason and lesson for everything we encounter on this plane - the obvious being perhaps check to make sure there are no holes in the house! - I had to look into the medicine/totem for bats (http://www.mrkay.org/projects/totems/bat.htm) which seems pretty timely all around. I like this one http://suite101.com/article/bat-a-powerful-pagan-symbol-a50822 other than the ignorant use of "oriental" in reference to humans = it should be Asian; as rugs are oriental and people are Asian, but alas, the rest of the info is good. "Scottish people believed that when a flying bat rises and descends, it does so by a witch’s house" or apparently IN a witches house!

~Aradia

p.s. Mug-Z did lose his dinner to the hippobutt known as Rocco, so for all the excitement (and I probably shouldn't admit this) he got a cheese sandwich. lol

Edit: The Bat came back the very next day *singing*....
I went into the kitchen at dusk and saw that Samhain our black cat was sitting on top of an extra refrigerator we had for our sons new house, and of course wanted her down... but before getting to her I noticed that she was calmly and intently staring at the bat that was now hanging upside-down from the plumbing access hole in the ceiling about 2 ft above her face staring right back at her. No aggression, just communing. I got her down because of the diseases bats can carry etc but I was honestly amazed by this magickal and oh-so-witchy goth interaction lol
We consulted the bat conservation website to see how to get it out without harm. Based on their advice (apparently they CAN see, their sonar is just better) we shut off the room, opened windows and door, turned on the outside lights so it might hopefully see the exits and dimmed the kitchen lights. We then constructed a net out of a hula-hoop and a sheet and tried to either usher it toward the window or catch it as they suggested. WELL.. the damn thing would only fly above window height (as stated above we have 14ft ceilings *shakes fist*) and honestly it was freaked out, I was freaked out... it wasn't working. So we decided we had to shut things up for the night before more things came in, and let it rest before it felt like it needed to attack us or had a heart attack.
The crazy part of this story is that it disappeared! There was no way out that we could see, and we never smelled anything dead in the ceiling or walls (and we notice if even a tiny mouse ends up in the wall) - there was never any guano left under where it was perching for the few days it was with us which was definitely odd. So. I must lean toward the superstitious/magickal perspective that it was actually a ghost or a collection of ghosts manifesting in the form of the bat as many cultures have believed; and that its time here was done. I am really not sure what we were supposed to learn, perhaps it was here to talk to the cat since they were having the conversation that I mentioned above. It was crazy regardless and I have no answer.

Great points to meditate on:
"As soon as you concern yourself with the 'good' and 'bad' of your fellows," said Morihei Ueshiba, founder of the martial art of aikido, "you create an opening in your heart for maliciousness to enter. Testing, competing with, and criticizing others weaken and defeat you."

Make that your hypothesis. Proceed according to the theory that you can feed your strength and power and freedom by accepting other people just the way they are. Assume that one of the surest ways to be happy and successful is to refrain from judging anyone.

Spring has brought both great abundance and sudden personal loss, and, health scares with the pets. We are so grateful to our amazing friends and clients for all of your support. We would especially like to thank our clients for being so patient during the delays while we dealt with family tragedy, postal incompetence, and recalled hardware (one of the few things we do not make ourselves for post screw books had originally been USA made, and was outsourced to China without our knowledge..until it was proven faulty).
We are happy to report that things are getting back on track. We are healing, orders are being finished and sent off, discussions with the post office have resulted in our very own private postal worker lol (not kidding) and we have replaced/repaired all defects and ensured they will not happen again by using a local machinist from now on.
We have many things read to put up in our etsy store (www.magickallymade.etsy.com) as soon as we finish these last couple custom books of shadows and get pictures taken: crystal/stone offering bowls, besoms, more of our unique signature smudge fans, scourges, abalone smudge bowls, and much more. We plan to branch out to some new-to-our-store products as well including but not limited to pagan jewelry, satchels, and spirit boards. So check back in the coming weeks for updates, and as always we do custom orders! If you can dream it, we'll do our best to create it.

Here are a couple of the most recent Books of Shadows to be commissioned from our shop:
9x12 Awen BOS with Labradorite (aka Druid Stone) inlay and
3 ribbon page dividers

White Triskel Tome 11x14, 700pages with Amethyst and Rose Quartz inlaid, buckle closure, raised spine and crescent corners, 21 page dividers, and 9 ribbon page markers with moon and fairy charms.

(the pics below taken outside thus the different tone)

Our 'Basic' Made to Order BOS with wrinkled/distressed leather, aged parchment, handmade marbled end-leaves and three ribbon page dividers. This was upgraded from our standard 300 sheets to 500.

We are still working hard on four more orders so those pics will be posted as they are finished.

And, last but not least we were featured by/along with our peers in two really lovely Etsy Treasury lists:

Honey Onyx Offering/Devoltional Bowl by MM

Honey Onyx Offering/Devoltional Bowl by MM
The name Onyx comes from the Greek word onux, meaning fingernail. The story is that one day frisky Cupid cut the divine fingernails of Venus with an arrowhead while she was sleeping. He left the clippings scattered on the sand and the Fates turned them into stone so that no part of the Goddess would ever perish.
Meaning: Onyx is a form of chalcedony; therefore it brings harmony to the mind, body, emotions, and spirit. It is a sacred stone to Native American tribes; used to promote stability during ceremonies. Its nurturing energy promotes goodwill to others and alleviates hostility, irritability, and melancholy - replacing it with generosity, responsiveness and receptivity.
Onyx initiates grounding/centering and alignment with the Gods. It helps the barer to absorb the energies they need from the Universe. Cleanses the third eye and strengthens the connection with ones intuition helping one to both see and feel the guidance. It can be used to see the future, while keeping one rooted in reality. Helps one to recognize and balance the yin yang aspects of their personality. Helps one to see their personal strengths and become the master of their future. Banishes grief, enhances self-control, stimulates wise decision-making, and encourages happiness and good fortune. (metaphysical information verified through "Love is in the Earth; a kaleidoscope of crystals" by Melody)

Natural Healers use Onyx to maintain focus, protect and facilitate peace during any battle or conflict, as well as provide protection from psychic attack.
Bowls, like the chalice/cup, represent the Goddess and are associated with the elements of water and earth. They are a tool essential to witches; they may be used for offerings, wishes, consecration and scrying:
-Place this bowl on your altar with things like fruit, flowers, gemstones, incense, oils, water and shells to welcome your honored guest into your home.
-Write your wishes on a piece of paper and place it inside the bowl while focusing on your desire; add oils, herbs, or other items that will assist your magickal intent.. use your bowl as your magickal vessel until manifestation, then burn or bury the paper and cleanse your bowl for its next use.
-You can fill your bowl with water for scrying purposes, or add specific herbs, salt, and/or oils for purification and consecration purposes.
